Individuals or companies offering hourly services like consultants or lawyers prepare their invoices based on a timesheet. The timesheets contain the hours agreed upon devoted on the project, the actual hours the consultant worked, the rate per hour or per day according to the agreement and the total amount billed.
Timesheets are also used by equipment rental companies and other companies offering their services and charging per hour, per day or per week. The timesheet invoice issued by equipment rental companies with their own operators will contain charges based on the hours worked by the operator and the charges for equipment rental.
